Banepa Chandeswori Temple | 2.6 km
Banepa is the historical town with the many temples, old traditions and cultures. In the boundary of three municipalities of Kavrepalanchowk District, namely; Banepa, Dhulikhel and Panauti, the main attraction of this town is Chandeswori temple, Dhaneshwor temple, old town surrounded by 8 Ganesh temples with 8 adjacent ponds and Phalchaa. Chandeswori Temple is one of the main attractions of the town. It is believed to have been built in the 17th century Legend credits Chandeshwori as the slayer of the demon Chanda, for which she is widely regarded throughout Nepal. The temple consists of the painting of lord bhairav on one of its wall which is the biggest graffiti of Nepal. Chandeswori jatra is celebrated in the honour of the victory over Chandasur(demon) where it is on the full moon day of the New Year's festival. Banepalies also celebrate various events such as Kanya Puja, Ganesh Jatra, Jaaludyo Jatra, Navadurga Jatra.
Panauti Indreshwor Temple | 7 km
Panauti is a municipality in Kavrepalanchok District in Bagmati Province of Nepal located 5km Southeast of the Banepa. The town is currently listed as a UNESCO tentative site since 1996. Panauti is also known as "भूकम्प नजाने सहर". As we know Panauti is one of the oldest towns in Nepal, consisting of many temples that are still present till this date. Indreshwar Mahadev temple is one of Nepal's oldest and largest surviving wooden mandirs. Dedicated to Shiva Mahadyo, just like indreshwar temple there are many places to visit in panauti like Panauti Durbar Square the heritage site which has its own cultural values and norms.The town also celebrates many jatras like Panauti Jatra, Panauti Mela or Triveni Ghat and Makar Mela, Nava Durga Dance and so on.

Just a 10 mins drive from banepa we can reach to the world's second tallest Hindu statue of god Shiva which stands at 144 known as Kailashnath Mahadev Statue Sanga. The main reason why this place is famous is - religious beliefs and a great place for Kathmandu and Bhaktapur views.
